PROVOKING THE ANGELS OF GOD

I write humbly to share with you this topic after reading it today and it has impact my life and I believe it will do you good to read and learn one thing or the other.
This message is to caution those who are careless and to encourage those who are purposeful. Sometimes, things happens and a believer find it so hard to explain and sometimes, things happens and a believer wanders what going on.
                 SOME FACTS
1. You must know that it is possible to grieve the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit whom we received and by which we prophesy, speak in tongues and see vision can be provoked to anger, and by so doing, we grieve Him. Some people may even say where is that in the Bible? Ephesians 4:30 says “and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” This means that the Holy Spirit of God can be grieved.
2. It is also possible to grieve God the father. Psalm 95:8-10 says,” Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness. When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long I was grieved this generation, and said, it is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways”. Angelic messenger are special messenger from God and they are all around us. Most common angels are called ministering spirits. They minister to the heirs of salvation. Exodus 23:20-21 says “Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him and obey his voice, provoke him not, for he will not pardon your transgressions; for my name is in him.
Angels are not God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are only messenger of God. The children of Israel were warned in the wilderness not to provoke the angel of the lord. They were told that there would be serious trouble if they did. However, they provoked the angels to anger several times in the wilderness and as a result, they wandered about in the wilderness for forty years. It is proper t6hat you understand this very well beloved.
If you read the story of Zachariah very well in Luke chapter one, you will understand what I am about to share with you. Zachariah, the high priest used to go to the temple to offer sacrifices to God once or twice in a month. When he moved into the inner temple called Holy of holies, he had to be alone because nobody was allowed to go near there. The Holy of holies was fearful place to go usually, a rope was tied on the high priest waist so if in the process of ministering inside there was a problem or he was slapped by an angel or he fell down and died, nobody would slip in there to rescue him. He would only be rescued by being dragged out with the rope.
It was inside the Holy of the holies that an angel of God appeared to Zachariah and gave him a wonderful prophecy about his wife Elizabeth. He told him that she would bear a son. Zachariah doubted the angel by sayings. “How can these things be?” when the angel heard Zachariah’s reply, he was provoked and he delivered a message that heaven did not send him because he was provoked. He said, “I am Gabriel who stand at the throne of God and I am asked to come and give you this message which will be fulfilled at the appointed time and because you do not believe what I am telling you, you shall be dumb and unable to talk until the child is born.” For provoking the angel of God Zachariah became dumb.
